I joined this team the summer after my sophomore year — what made me stay was the game’s innovative mechanics and refreshing user experience. I had never played a cozy simulation game like this before.
I spent a fleeting summer here as an intern, but it left me with great memories. I realized one thing I really love about micro-to-mid-size companies: people actually care about you. Your words, your thoughts, even your clumsy opinions matter — they can actually lead to a change.
My main challenge was figuring out how to retain as many users as possible, along with a few tasks related to designing new gameplay mechanics.

As a Game Designer, I co-led the design of Online Infinity Mode Challenge to enhance replayability and community engagement. I introduced a new chaos value system to replace traditional failure mechanics, creating a dynamic loop of tension and reward. I designed batch-based customer progression, difficulty balancing, and unique debuff NPCs (e.g., Skunk, Pigeon, Hyena) that add strategic depth to gameplay. Specifically for the online mode, I co-developed a spectator voting system and a card-based buff mechanic, enabling real-time interaction between players and audiences.

Calculated Day-1, Day-3, and Day-7 retention metrics across multiple game versions, identifying patterns in user drop-off. Conducted in-depth behavioral analysis at the level of individual levels and UI interactions to pinpoint where players disengaged. Built interactive dashboards using BigQuery and Looker Studio, tracking daily KPIs including new user counts, DAU, churn rate, level progression, and in-game purchase data.
